Ingredients
5 cups rhubarb, cut into small pieces
2 cups halved strawberries (hulled)
2 cups white sugar
1/4 cup Crosby’s Molasses
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a large pot over medium heat. When it starts to bubble, reduce heat to low. Continue to cook for about 1 hour, stirring frequently. The mixture will thicken.

This really does look tempting. I’m only sorry that the recipe didn’t appear until close to the end of September, when the rhubarb and strawberries are finished. I will certainly save it for next season! As for my bread machine, I must remember to check if it has a jam making feature. The Toaster Strudel looks as if it will cheer up a cold morning, and the ingredients will be going on my shopping list for sure!

I MADE IT TODAY AND CANNED IT. Not overwhelmingly sweet.

I have a Panasonic breadmaker which has a jam setting. Would you know if I could make your recipe in the breadmaker? The jam recipes I have for the machine are quite limited and some require pectin powder while others don’t.
