Crosby’s Fancy Molasses
Crosby’s Fancy Molasses is the highest-grade molasses available. This product is the result of pure sugarcane juice that has been condensed, inverted and purified. Fancy is a Standard of Identity by the CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency.) In Canada, only pure sugarcane juice inverted into syrup can be classified as Fancy Molasses. Fraudulent Fancy Molasses is against CFIA rules and regulations and can affect the validity of your ingredient label.
Our Fancy Molasses is 100% natural, contains no additives or preservatives, and we’re proud to say that it’s non-GMO certified.
Our Fancy Molasses is single-origin sugarcane. It comes from one place, the Madre Tierra sugar mill in the village of Santa Lucia, Guatemala, is our sole provider. It is made from the juice of sugarcane grown in the surrounding volcanic soils.
Crosby’s Fancy Molasses is ideal to use in a variety of foods such as cookies, cakes, breads, gingerbread providing a sweet flavouring with a richer taste.

Crosby’s Blackstrap Molasses
Blackstrap molasses is a highly-concentrated, very dark molasses with a robust, somewhat bitter flavour. Like our fancy molasses, it is a pure product and contains no added preservatives.
Many people are fans of the stronger, more robust flavours and use it in recipes such as baked beans and gingerbread. In addition to its deep flavour, blackstrap molasses is recognized as a source of iron and calcium.
Crosby’s Blackstrap Molasses is ideal in barbeque sauces, baked beans, stews and marinades.

Crosby’s Cooking Molasses
Cooking Molasses is a blend of our blackstrap and fancy molasses products. It’s darker than fancy molasses and is less sweet, with a more “full-flavoured” taste. Cooking molasses is a common substitute for fancy molasses in many recipes and the finished product will have a much more robust molasses flavour than if fancy molasses is used.
Cooking Molasses is ideal to use in baking cookies & breads along with creating baked beans & stews.
