Our 4 Best Molasses Baked Beans Recipes

Molasses baked beans make the most versatile comfort food. Enjoy them as a hearty weekend meal, with sausage and brown bread, serve them alongside fried eggs for breakfast, or enjoy a bowl at lunchtime on a slushy February day.

Traditional baked beans take a day to make. Put the beans on to soak before bed, parboil them in the morning and then bake them in the oven for six hours or so. If you’re puttering at home all day this recipe is actually more convenient than it may sound. Plus it helps to keep the kitchen cozy.

Fortunately baked beans don’t have to be an all-day affair. The instant pot and crock pot recipes below offer alternatives for those who don’t have the time or inclination to make them the traditional way.
