Chewy Molasses Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • ¾ cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg, room temperature
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2  cup Crosby’s Fancy Molasses
  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4  tsp. salt
  • 12 cups chocolate chips (you decide!)

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, then add sugar, egg, vanilla, and molasses. Add dry ingredients. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips.
  2. Drop by teaspoonful onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet or make into small balls, roll in white sugar and press down with a fork.
  3. Bake at 375°F for 8 to 10 minutes.
